Design inspiration
Inspired by Fuzhou's lantern festivals and the maritime trade of carnelian along the Silk Road. During the Song Dynasty, Fujian merchants traded carnelian for Persian gold lantern charms. 26 beads symbolize the "Maritime Opening Day" (26th lunar date), 5 lantern spacers replicate Ming Dynasty temple lantern arrays, each engraved with 0.3mm wave patterns honoring Fujian's seafaring legacy.
